This was a great opportunity to take, Alisha, one of our new staff members on a tour of the Mount Arrowsmith Biosphere Region. It was also great for me to see all 10 of the Amazing Places, as part of my job involves promoting the Amazing Places program, and I have only seen a few of the sites up till now.

What is a poster session? July 16, 2019 - 8:32am

Poster sessions are typical for most academic conferences. They allow space for numerous projects to be displayed at once. If you participate in the poster session you will be required to design a poster that details your project. A good poster requires you to be succinct and creative!

To date, I have attended 5 of the food banks and look forward to attending them for the rest of the summer.

Westwood Farm Stream Adventure June 24, 2019 - 1:19pm

On Tuesday, June 11th, Alanna, Colby, and I visited the beautiful Westwood Farm and Cathers Lake to continue water monitoring and plant identification. Westwood Farm is 48 gorgeous acres of meadow bisected by the Millstone River and Sabiston Creek. We plan to do minnow trapping and water monitoring in the Millstone, but we have had difficulties accessing the water due to a 2-3 meters barrier of Himalayan blackberry preventing our entry. In our previous visit we were able to locate an access point, so today we went exploring.
