This workshop will take you through the basic mechanics of how to properly format a poster using PowerPoint. We will also discuss important elements of a poster, and recent trends in academic poster styles. Feel free to take along your laptop if you have PowerPoint installed.

Would you be interested in partnering with a DIGI 281 student to create a short film (3 minutes) on your project? This is your opportunity to learn more about a knowledge mobilization strategy that is extremely relevant and useful in the research scene today. Projects to be presented at CREATE 2020. This info session will go over the collaboration, answer any questions you may have, and let you know how to sign up! Only student projects, or significant student roles on faculty projects, will be eligible for this initiative.

We are actively expanding the existing network of remote High Elevation Weather Stations in British Columbia. High elevation weather stations contribute to hydrometeorologic observation which is vital for natural resource science and management, as well as climate change analysis for scientific and operational communities.

Cancelled - Bring Lunch & Learn! The Canadian Mountain Network Project: Human/Nature Connections in Canada's Biosphere Reserve Mountain Environments March 16, 2020 - 8:51am

Led by Pam Shaw and Graham Sakaki. This three year research project is looking at human/nature connections in mountain environments starting in the UNESCO-designated Mount Arrowsmith Biosphere Region (MABR). One-quarter of Canada’s land mass is made up of mountains, seven times the area of the European Alps.
