In order to help expand our graduate students leadership skillset the Office of Graduate Studies is facilitating a number of intimate workshops with leaders from across the institution and our community on various topics. Enjoy complimentary food and wine for purchase overlooking scenic Baynes Sound while listening to VIU faculty, staff and students present their research. The MABR is one of the 19 biosphere regions across Canada to receive funding from Environment and Climate Change Canada for efforts towards enhancing biodiversity conservation. Working with the Canadian Biosphere Reserves Association and numerous partners within the MABR, our project focuses on activities that aim to enable some of the buffer and transition zones within the region to meet the international guidance and standards to qualify them as Other Effective Area-Based Conservation Measures (OECMs). OECMs are defined by the Convention on Biological Diversity as: |

If your program is predominantly face-to-face, then 'on campus' means physically being on campus, as well as any virtual experiences you may engage with (e.g. the website). If your program is predominantly virtual, then 'on campus' is an entirely virtual place, and we will interpret your responses as such. |
